Man Struck by Driver in Azusa, LA, USA
This footage was filmed and produced 20 January 2024.
Azusa PD and LACoFD responded to a traffic collision involving a pedestrian at South Irwindale Avenue and West Paramount Street. When L.A. County Fire Department arrived at the location, the victim had succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The suspect that struck the pedestrian had fled the scene. Azusa PD had both north and southbound lanes closed as they investigated the fatal hit-and-run collision. Irwindale PD was on scene and assisting Azusa PD with traffic control.
The pedestrian that was struck, and killed was from Arizona. The victim was identified as 61-year-old as John Sigala from Arizona.
