Man scares off bear after it broke into his van
An unusual video has emerged of a man scaring off a bear in rural Quebec, Canada after it broke into his vehicle and stole food.
The filmer explained that he had put sleeping materials and food for three days into his van in preparation for a trip but that the bear had broken in while he was away.
He wrote online: "I was going to the Saint Jean lake to pick up cornflowers. When I came back with the flowers the bear had broken into my truck through the window, had broken everything inside and ate three days worth of food."
The video, which was captured in 2013 but has only recently emerged online, shows him shouting local French profanities at the bear until it runs off.
