Police have released new footage of the violence that broke out before an Aston Villa match against Legia Warsaw, which left several officers and police animals injured. The incident, which occurred in November, resulted in dozens of arrests.

According to West Midlands Police, the violence erupted when about 1,000 away supporters were denied tickets to the match. Five officers, two police dogs, and two police horses were hurt during the clashes.

Det Sgt James Birtles described the disorder as "absolutely horrendous" and appealed to the public for information to help trace four men for questioning regarding the incident. Despite the chaos, no arrests were made among home fans, and there were no issues from Aston Villa supporters.

During the altercation, flares, bricks, and bottles were thrown towards police officers. Initially, forty-six men were charged in connection with the violence, but charges against 39 of them were later dropped.

In February, a man was given a suspended prison sentence after being found with a knife in his pocket during the violence.
