Injured Crew Member Saved by Airlift After Amputation in Sonoma County, USA

A fishing trip off the Sonoma Coast turned into a harrowing ordeal when a crew member suffered a major injury that resulted in an amputation. The incident prompted a swift response from multiple agencies, including Sonoma County Fire, the United States Coast Guard, Sonoma County Henry 1, and CHP H-30.

Upon arriving at the scene, Sonoma County Fire found the injured crew member and immediately began providing medical assistance. The patient was then airlifted by CHP H-30 to Kaiser Vacaville, where she is currently receiving treatment from the trauma team.

The United States Coast Guard has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Details about what led to the crew member's injury have not been disclosed at this time.
