As Holy Week draws to a close, the capital bids farewell with a poignant procession featuring La Soledad and the encounter of Nuestra Senora de la Soledad y Desamparo (Our Lady of Solitude and Desolation) and the Cristo Yacente (Reclining Christ) in the heart of the city.

Organized by the Royal and Illustrious Congregation of Our Lady of Solitude and Desolation, the procession will commence at 4 p.m. from the Church of the Royal Conception of Calatrava, as confirmed by the Archdiocese of Madrid.

Accompanied by the solemn melodies of La Soledad's own band and El Maestro, the procession will feature the revered images of Nuestra Senora de la Soledad y Desamparo, an 18th-century sculpture by Juan Pascual de Mena, and the Cristo Yacente, a 20th-century creation from the Olot workshops. The congregants will don black habits with matching thirders. Adorned with capes, white belts, and gloves in the procession of the Virgin, and black tunics and thirders for the Christ's passage.

Madrid Municipal Police shared a video capturing the event, affirming:

"Our music band participated in the procession of La Soledad and the Cristo Yacente. Finally, the weather allowed the images to emerge."
