This footage was filmed and produced 11 April 2024.
11/10/2023 03:30 pm (GMT-0800) | SOUTH LOS ANGELES – Two wounded victims inside a vehicle were located at a fire station following a shooting in the Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw neighborhood within South Los Angeles Friday afternoon.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired with a possible fight in progress at 1:40 p.m. Friday in an alley off the 4000 block of South La Brea Avenue.
The arriving officers were initially unable to locate a victim at the shooting scene. Multiple bullet casings were found in an alley between apartment garage parking and the Jim Gilliam Park.
Two victims were subsequently located inside a white car suffering from at least one gunshot wound just outside Los Angeles Fire Station 94 in the 4400 block of Coliseum Street, where the victims traveled to seeking help. The back window of the vehicle appeared shattered from apparent gunfire.
Officer Cervantes with LAPD's Media Relations Division told Key News Network that two male victims were approached by two suspects when a shooting occurred. The victims were transported to a local area hospital; one victim is listed in critical condition and the other is in stable condition.
The intersection of Coliseum Street and King was closed in front of the fire station as officers investigated the incident.
The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.
