Kenosha, WI, USA - May 2, 2024
On the 2nd of May 2024, just before 9:00 PM, Kenosha Police swiftly responded to a distress call regarding a residential structure fire in the vicinity of 69th Street and 57th Avenue. Officer Danielle "DJ" Moore was the first to arrive at the scene, encountering a house nearly consumed by flames. Amidst the chaos, Officer Moore discovered two individuals trapped in the smoke-filled garage, one of whom was handicapped. The other was a courageous citizen who, upon noticing the blaze while passing by, promptly dialed 911 and rushed into the burning building to offer assistance.
Officer Moore and the civilian collaborator worked tirelessly to extricate the handicapped resident from imminent danger. Moments later, Officers Justin Labatore, Jordan Heitkamp, and Cody Williams joined the rescue effort.
