Historic extreme winds rip iron sheets from rooftops in northern China
Historic extreme winds ravaged a city in northern China.
Video filmed in Handan County in Sichuan Province on June 13, shows powerful winds blowing away parked vehicles, dust and debris filling the streets, and corrugated iron sheets from rooftops being shredded.
Data indicates that this windstorm surpassed all previous records at the Daming County National Weather Station. The extreme weather caused water and power outages across the county and most townships. Fallen trees obstructed travel routes, significantly disrupting daily life and production for the local population.
Currently, all relevant county departments are working tirelessly to carry out repairs, with the exact extent of the damage still being assessed.
