This is the moment a family of Western lowland gorillas grab food and move to enjoy a feast in the sunshine at Moscow Zoo in Russia.

One of the gorillas can be seen holding treats in its hands and clutching it to its chest while the larger gorilla, apparently the leader, struts past with a mouth full of goodies.

The smallest member of the family can also be seen sitting on a stone and enjoying the taste of nuts.

Moscow Zoo said in a statement: 'With the arrival of warmer weather, the gorilla family spends more and more time in the outdoor enclosure.

'The eating process takes place under the tireless supervision of the head of the family - Vizuri. He occupies the highest level in the hierarchy of the group.

'This gives him the right, among other things, to always be the first to choose his food.

'Gorillas eat fruits, vegetables, nuts, and protein foods.'
