A footage emerged from China showed a touching moment that a dying cat apparently musters its last strength trying to caress its owner's face.

The video, captured in Nanjing city of China's eastern Province Jiangsu, showed the small orange cat, named Mei Qiu, severely illed and near death, with little energy left, gathered all its strength trying to affectionately touch its owner's face.

According the filmer who is also the owner, the less-than-1-year kitten died shortly in her arms after the video was captured. She did not let go of the cat, not even for a moment.

This poignant act of love and farewell by the weak feline deeply touched viewers, prompting an outpouring of emotional responses from netizens, with one commenting, "Tears just started flowing."
