In true MJ fashion, Anthony Edwards took it personally, and he came out firing in game 4.
ANT wasn’t gonna let his team get swept, as he scored 14 points in the 1st quarter, leading the T-Wolves to a 7 point lead.
For the home team, the main guys were struggling shooting the ball in the 1st half. Luka and Kyrie combined for only 6 of 21, that’s just 28.5%. Doncic however, kept shooting and got to his 17 points for the half, but Irving was non-existent during this period.
Luckily for them, the role players showed up, and it was Derrick Jones Jr. and Dante Exum in the 2nd quarter that benefited the most out of the attention on Luka and Kai.
For Minnesota, Mike Conley pulled the right strings to keep his team intact, scoring 11 points in the quarter as it looked like the Mavs were giving him way too much space to operate.
So going into the break we had a tie game.
In the 3rd quarter, KAT finally woke up, after breaking some infamous records in this series going 17/57 from the field that’s 29.8% and 3/22 from 3PT range 13.6% which is the lowest mark in playoffs history. But in this period, he went 4 for 4 from the field, finally playing like he’s supposed to.
But it wasn’t all good news as he picked up his 4th and 5th foul, which limited his minutes throughout the entire game.
On the other end, with the focus being on Doncic and Irving, they didn’t improve on their slow start, however they managed to put their teammates in good positions to score.
Jaden Hardy stepped up out of nowhere looking extremely confident. He even went right at Edwards.
But Ant had the final word in the quarter.
With Minnesota clearly not going anywhere, we were in for another wild finish in the fourth.
And that was exactly the case as Luka and Derrick Jones made the arena explode.
With the danger of losing this series looming over, the Timberwolves needed somebody to step up, and it was Karl Towns, with some colossal shots from downtown.
And when Edwards knocked this one down, Minnesota felt that they could finally exhale securing this win. But the chaos continues as first Luka gets fouled shooting a three, and he knocks down all of them, so then…
Wooow the Mavs are right back in it, and all they need now is 1 more stop.
Ant with the dagger, to get it up by 5 again, and Kyrie turns it over forcing Dallas to foul, so Conley goes to the line, and now it’s finally over right?
Wel…
This is chaos, unbelievable shot by Luka there’s still hope for the Mavs, especially if he knocks down the free throw, they play the foul game. Buuut he misses it. Wooow.
The chances fell down again, and became impossible after this great execution out of the time out by Minnesota to seal the deal, and secure another game back home for them.

I’m glad that this series gets another game as I’m enjoying watching these thriller endings, and yesterday there was a wild one in Indiana as well. You gotta check out the chaos in the end of that one right here in this video. Talk to you in the next one. Peace out.
