Occurred on June 22, 2024 / Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia, Canada

Info from Licensor: "Woman running alone on a trail in Shawnigan Lake on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada is startled when she rounds a corner and encounters a black bear right beside her, and then she hears a second bear in the trees. She pulls her phone out immediately so she has quick access should she need to make an emergency phone call. She also does everything she should do when encountering a black bear: she makes herself big and loud, she does not run, and does not turn her back on the bear. The black bear huffs at the woman and begins to charge at her, but then walks away down the trail. The woman is shouting at the bear throughout the video and telling herself to stay calm. She looks at her watch at the end and sees that her heart rate is 190 bpm."
