Using science and maths to create animated patterns on eggs
Cool Newsflare archive footage from Prague of eggs with animated, moving patterns on them, designed in a scientific way and drawn by a robot.
The footage, filmed just before Easter in March 2016, shows different patterns "generated in software called MATLAB, using mathematical equations similar to ones describing Spirograph and Phyllotaxis," according to the filmer.
"The patterns are calculated in such a way that when rotated under a stroboscopic light of suitable frequency or when recorded by a camera, they start to animate," he continued.
