The Video Game Museum of China Audio-video and Digital Publishing Association in Xuhui District in downtown Shanghai will formally open to the public in late August.
Covering an area of 2,000 square meters, it is reported to be the largest game museum in China, housing over 5,000 game-related items.
It allows visitors to immerse themselves in the technology and cultural significance behind the games.
"We aim to create a space where visitors can objectively and comprehensively understand the technology, history, and culture behind the game industry," said Zhou Wei, head of the video game museum.
