Great Visuals! The National Weather Service - Louisville, KY has issued a "Special Weather Statement" concerning the heat today for Central, KY. The NWS says that today may be the warmest all summer for the area. The Extreme afternoon heat expected today has forced sports programs to postpone practice or move it to early morning hours. For most of the week, the Lafayette High School Football team in Lexington, KY has moved practices to 6AM in the morning for the safety of players. The heat index today is projected into the triple digits. The Fayette County School district has rules that prevent school activities in extreme heat as well. This video was shot this morning between 6-7AM. Today's practice was in the dark and the stadium lights were cut on. The team has their second game of the season Friday Evening.
