Young democrats in Georgia State are on a mission to help their party win a decisive victory in November by mobilizing the young population.

Georgia is not only a critical battleground, but also a swing state, having gone Republican for decades before President Joe Biden. The Democrats ended the losing streak in the 2020 election, narrowly winning by fewer than 12,000 votes.

Young democrats in Atlanta range in age from high school seniors to those in their 20s and 30s, gathering to discuss issues that matter to them this election cycle. For the youth demographic, core issues include jobs and the economy, reproductive rights and healthcare.

According to polling, the youth demographic has been energized since Vice President Kamala Harris ascended to the top of the Democratic ticket and picked Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.
