Info from Licensor: "We were exiting the highway when our vehicle was struck unexpectedly by a semi truck tie down winch with a tie down strap. We didn't have a lot of time to react; all that we remember seeing was a quick spark that ignited on the road and the bounce of a blue, seemingly innocent, strap. Within less than a second, the 30lb winch crashed directly into the window shield and landed directly between us, leaving us both in shock but completely unscathed. It was the most unexpected and frightening situation that we had ever been in. Had it flown through at a slightly different angle, we quickly realized how lucky we were to have not been seriously injured. We are painfully aware that there are others who have been impacted by road debris who were not as lucky. Although it is difficult to eliminate this from happening completely, we do believe that there is a high importance for ALL vehicles to ensure that any loose items are securely attached to their vehicles. It is such a simple act that could just save a life."
