The Vanderbilt Commodores defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide 40-35 on Saturday, October 5, at FirstBank Stadium in Nashville. After the victory, Vanderbilt fans tore down the goalpost and paraded it down Broadway before tossing it into the Cumberland River.
