In 2013, Xinjiang Tianshan was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Xinjiang, a region with abundant resources.

About 68 million hectares of land in Xinjiang can be used for the development of agriculture, forestry, and animal husbandry, accounting for over one-tenth of the national total.

Xinjiang is home to 178 key state-protected wildlife species, accounting for 18% of China's total.

Xinjiang is dubbed "a land of melons and fruits," with a variety of specialty fruit industries.

A total of 153 kinds of minerals have been discovered in the region. The number accounts for 88% of all known mineral types in China.

Between 2017 and 2021, several relic sites in Xinjiang were included in China's "top 10 archaeological discoveries of the year".

In 2023, total grain production in Xinjiang reached 21.19 million tonnes. That's up 3.057 million tonnes from 2022 production levels, and accounts for 34.4% of the growth in national output.

By the end of 2023, there were 9,525.6 kilometers of operational railway in Xinjiang and the total length of the highway network reached 227,900 kilometers.

The region has 26 civil airports, ranking first in the country.

In 2023, 14,397 China-Europe (Central Asia) freight trains passed through Xinjiang, up 8.5% from the previous year.
