India's foreign exchange reserves dipped by 3.709 billion U.S. dollars to 701.176 billion dollars during the week ended Oct. 4, according to data released by the country's central bank on Friday.
During the week, forex reserves' biggest component, the foreign currency assets, fell by 3.511 billion dollars to 612.643 billion dollars, while the gold reserves declined by 40 million dollars to 65.756 billion dollars.
The decline followed an earlier surge in the previous week when India's forex reserves reached an all-time high of 704.885 billion dollars.
