Timelapse of Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS passing over UK in once in lifetime event
The night has been amazing lately, especially this October with the best aurora in over 20 years and now the best comet in the N. Ireland in 27 years. This is Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS captured from the top of Slieve Gallion mountain in N. Ireland last night as the comet played peek a boo through passing clouds Despite a bright moon in the sky the comet was easy to see with the naked eye and even had a 20 degree long tail, the longest I've seen since Hale-Bopp. This was shot with 100m and 50mm lenses.
