Mexico City, Mexico - Recent

Chinese companies are stepping up efforts to make inroads into Mexico's 5G communications market.

In Mexico City, Dahua, a leading Chinese security technology provider, is launching its latest products designed for the Mexican market. These offerings include advanced security cameras with thermal imaging, facial recognition, and integrated security drones, all interconnected through 5G and the "Internet of Things" (IoT).

To fully make use of these technological development, the first step is to have the 5G infrastructure. Yet in Mexico, that remains a challenge.

Increasing 5G coverage in Mexico, and across Latin America as a whole, has been a slow process.

However, Flores says that Chinese interest in the region is growing.
