Atlanta, United States - October 16, 2024

In a breathtaking display of law enforcement prowess, the Atlanta Police Department's Auto Crimes Enforcement (A.C.E.) Unit executed what appeared to be a highly dangerous PIT maneuver, leading to the arrest of a suspect in Decatur, GA. This intervention concluded a high-speed chase involving 36-year-old Jenee Johnson, accused of armed robbery against an elderly woman.

The chase commenced after Johnson allegedly robbed the victim of her cellphone, prompting a response from the A.C.E. Unit, who located the suspect's vehicle. Despite attempts to stop, Johnson fled, initiating a pursuit that was fraught with danger, weaving through city streets.

The climax of this pursuit came when officers performed the Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) maneuver, a move that, as seen in video footage, appeared perilously close to disaster, yet effectively immobilized Johnson's vehicle, preventing further danger to the public.

Following the maneuver, Johnson was apprehended by the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office on several charges, including Armed Robbery, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, and Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police.
