In a delightful start to the Halloween season, Simba the sand cat at Zoo Boise in Idaho enjoyed a festive lunch inside a jack-o'-lantern on October 17th. The zoo provided a Halloween-themed enrichment, and Simba wasted no time embracing the spooky season.
In a video shared by Zoo Boise, Simba cautiously approaches the pumpkin, curious about the strange new object. After sniffing around and spotting his meal inside, the sand cat enthusiastically digs his paw into the jack-o’-lantern. In a playful twist, Simba eventually shoves his whole head inside the pumpkin’s mouth, making it seem like he was the one being eaten!
The zoo shared the fun moment on Instagram, saying, “After discovering the new enrichment, he didn’t take long to dig in and play!”
