Delhi’s air pollution worsens ahead of Diwali, AQI level Crosses 400 Mark,Residents complaint of Breathing difficulties

Delhi’s air pollution remains a significant environmental and health crisis. Ahead of Diwali, the air quality in the national capital worsened on Sunday, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching 352, classified as ‘very poor,’ according to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR).

AQI in Anand Vihar area in Delhi crossed the 400 mark, being recorded as 405 at 7 AM, categorized as ‘severe’, worse than the AQI of 367 recorded on Saturday.A layer of thick smog enveloped certain parts of the city.Resident complaint of breathing difficulties,breathlessness due to the severe air pollution in Delhi.

As pollution levels continue to rise, residents are advised to take precautions, especially vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and those with respiratory conditions.
