China - November 01, 2024 Robot dog tested for garbage transport in Chinese scenic area (Voice_over) Recent visitors to the Mount Taishan scenic area in eastern China took-in both the scenic views and those of a robotic dog, undergoing testing to one day aid in garbage removal from the remote location. The UNESCO World Heritage Site received more than 8.6 million tourists last year who generated tens of thousands of tons of garbage. Because there are no roads, the trash must be disposed of manually, which is where the quadrupeds come in. (Sound_bite) Jin Da, marketing manager, Unitree Robotics: "We have conducted tests on different road sections to see the robot dog's environmental adaptability, such as its performance on a steep slope with a gradient greater than 45 degrees.
