Amusing antelopes walk in slow motion
Antelopes were seen walking in slow motion - just like humans trying not to wake their family.
Footage shows the pair of nyalas taking small, careful steps as they browsed the ground for food at Khao Kheaw Zoo in Chonburi, Thailand, on October 27.
The hoofed herbivores took their time grazing on grass, prompting laughter among visitors as they looked like parents trying not to wake their toddlers.
They barely made a sound and landed their foot softly while looking down.
Zoogoer Janly Salinthip said: 'They looked so strange being so slow.'
Antelope are primarily browsers or grazers, which means they spend a lot of time searching for food. A deliberate pace allows them to thoroughly scan their environment for potential food sources without using unnecessary energy.
The nyala is a species of antelope found in the southern regions of Africa, specifically in countries like South Africa, Swaziland, and Mozambique. It is not native to Thailand, but it may be seen in some zoos or wildlife parks.
