A driver thought he had spotted a huge silver snake slithering across the floor - but it turned out to be something completely different.


Somporn Awompratum was waiting inside at a car wash in Sisaket, Thailand, when he noticed the sinister shape moving across the ground on January 12.

Startled by the sight, initially fearing it was a live snake, he kept his distance.

However, as he panned the camera around, he was relieved to find the 'creature' was actually just a runoff from a hose. The silvery reflection from the metal roof and the irridescence of the soapy liquid gave it the exotic appearance of a deadly reptile such as a king cobra.

Somporn said: 'I was scared at first because it looked and moved exactly like a snake. When I looked closer and realised it was just the water, I was so relieved.'
