STORYLINE:
Severe flooding struck southern Spain on Wednesday and Thursday, triggered by torrential rains brought by a new DANA (Isolated Depression at High Levels).
The city of Malaga experienced the worst flooding on Wednesday, with many areas inundated, and flights canceled at the airport due to the deluge. On Thursday, heavy rains also caused significant flooding in parts of Seville province, including towns like Marchena.
While no fatalities have been reported, thousands of residents in the Costa del Sol region have been evacuated from their homes. This DANA follows another that wreaked havoc in Valencia, eastern Spain, just two weeks ago.
