Women’s stilt racing captivates Chinese audience
In Hainan province, located in southern China, a video captured the thrilling women’s 200-meter stilt race on November 23, 2024. The event took place during the 12th National Traditional Ethnic Sports Games.
The competitors, all from minority ethnic groups, displayed graceful and swift movements as they raced on specially designed stilts. Their agility and speed were compared to galloping horses on a grassland.
Chinese netizens marveled at their performance, joking that these athletes were even faster than themselves when running without stilts.
