My uncle John has been putting up this village since 1994. I took this video of him adding trees to it because I thought it was a cute keepsake to have of my uncle! We live in different states, so I cherish the time I get with my family and this year was my first thanksgiving with them since 2020. I ended up posting this video on my instagram and TikTok on thanksgiving day and almost deleted it because I didn’t think my followers would care about it. Little did I know the world would appreciate it just like I do. This is the 39th year anniversary so we have discovered since his videos have gone viral - we didn’t even notice it ourselves until comments were pointing it out! He started this when he inherited his first pieces from my great aunt (his aunt) when she passed away. Since then he has grown it to where it is today and he is so proud of it! The whole family loves it too and really looks forward to it each year. He is still expanding it each year as well. He has even filmed a video of instructions on how he does it for his family to continue it when he is no longer around. We need instructions because this is so sacred to him that no one is allowed to touch it! Haha
