"It's been just over a week since Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and allied factions declared full control over Damascus. And while the country is still finding its footing, signs of change are everywhere.
The streets behind me, once filled with tension and uncertainty, now carry the echoes of everyday life returning. Shops have reopened, families venture outside to buy bread and vegetables, and children, some wearing school uniforms, head back to their classrooms." 

Ahmad al-Shara, leader of HTS in Syria, has unveiled plans for comprehensive economic and security reforms, including a proposed 400 percent salary increase for workers, the disarmament of all armed factions, and efforts to rebuild war-torn communities.

Meanwhile, according to a war monitor, Israeli warplanes launched multiple airstrikes late Sunday, targeting former military arsenals across Syria.

These attacks are part of an ongoing military campaign by Israel that began on December 8, targeting any remaining military capabilities linked to Syria's former leadership.
