The filmer from Del Rio, Texas, said: "Deer was spotted during a drone practice flight. We thought it was dead, but then we saw its eyes blink. We could not contact anyone, the deer was on private property two fences lines in. We could not get permission from anyone. We had to leave it for the night. We flew the drone again to midnight and saw it was still there.

"At sun up, we pushed a half mile into the territory, crossed high fences, found the deer, and cut it free from the fence! It was dehydrated, in shock, and injured. We decided to leave it alone for a few hours to see if it could recover and it did! Successful recovery on Thanksgiving day!"
