Silent protest against President Vučić over roof collapse in Belgrade, Serbia
On December 22, 2024, in Slavija, Belgrade, Serbia, @nszoranans shared a video of protesters assembling at Slavija Square to express their anger toward President Aleksandar Vučić. The demonstration holds the president responsible for alleged failures that led to the tragic collapse of the concrete canopy at Novi Sad railway station on November 1. The collapse claimed the lives of 14 people, aged between six and 74, on the day of the incident, with a 15th victim succumbing to injuries weeks later in the hospital. The protest began with 15 minutes of silence to honor the victims of the tragedy, following which demands for accountability were raised.
