Sacks of peanuts fall from truck in India
This is the shocking moment sacks of peanuts fell from a truck in India.
Footage shows the overloaded vehicle on the road when several bags of groundnuts suddenly tumbled off as it manoeuvred on the Jamnagar Highway, Gujarat, on December 22.
The fallen bundles narrowly missed other vehicles on the road as they slid one by one onto the motorway.
Local media reported that the truck was carrying around 10 tonnes of goods tied to it.
No injuries were reported following the incident.
India has one of the highest rates of road accidents in the world, with thousands of fatalities and injuries reported each year.
The poor track record is blamed on unsafe road conditions, reckless driving, inadequate enforcement of traffic laws, and a lack of awareness about road safety.
