I was at my grandmas house in ks for my grandpas funeral and I wanted to get her something to remember him by because she was really having a hard time. They had been together since she was 16 and he was 18 and they just had a party to celebrate 70th anni
She had him for 70 years and then to watch him go through cancer and struggle at the end, only to live out her days with out him, he was the best man there ever was, the life he had to endure being put on a train every year by himself every grade and then to never feeling wanted until my grandma came along and even though he went through what he did he came out a wonderful husband father, grandfather. This is a video I will cherish forever and she to this day keeps the blanket on the couch, she said seeing his face on the couch makes her feel like he’s sitting next to her!
