Buenos Aires, Argentina - January 04, 2025 President Javier Milei met on Saturday with Venezuelan opposition leader Edmundo González Urrutia, who proclaims himself the winner of the presidential elections of July 28 last year and denounces fraud by Nicolás Maduro. "It is an honor that you are here and that you visit us. We are doing what the cause of freedom requires. No more, no less. Thank you for coming and for being in our house because Argentina is the house of good Venezuelans," Milei told González Urrutia when greeting him at the Casa Rosada. Then, both leaders went out to the balcony of the Government House to greet a crowd of protesters who gathered in Plaza de Mayo - most of them Venezuelans living in Argentina - to show their support for González Urrutia, who was visibly excited accompanied by his wife, Mercedes López.
