Cheeky pet raccoon caught climbing garden wall
A cheeky pet raccoon was caught scaling a wall in the garden as it tried to escape.
Footage shows the chubby four-year-old mammal named Babeb climbing the concrete barrier when she was found by her owner Ppuiffai in Chonburi province, Thailand, on January 16.
Babeb reached the wooden fence slats and was only one step away from freedom before she was plucked off the structure and put onto the ground.
Pet owner Ppuiffai said: 'Babeb is curious about the street outside. I always catch her to climb over and explore what's out there.'
In Thailand, raccoons are considered legal pets and can be purchased on the open market. However, local regulations on exotic pet ownership remain and paperwork is needed before they can be taken home.
