Tunis, Tunisia - January 19, 2025 ‏Tunisians celebrates the ceasefire agreement in Gaza that was reached on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, as it enter into force on Sunday, January 19. ‏A number of Tunisians took to Habib Bourguiba Street in Tunis on Sunday night, chanting slogans celebrating the ceasefire agreement, victory and solidarity with the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, which has endured for more than 15 months of the continuous war. ‏The demonstrators chanted slogans of solidarity with the Palestinian people and pride in the Palestinian resistance, such as "O Qassam, a lover on your path, we will not be neutral," "With the spirit of blood, we will deny Palestine", "Gaza Gaza is a symbol of pride", "From Tunisia to our fatherlyal invasion", and other slogans. ‏They also responded to other slogans renewing the demand for the criminalization of normalization with Israel in Tunisia, similar to “the people want to criminalize normalization”, “T-criminalize normalization”, and other slogans. ‏Meanwhile, Tunisian parties issued statements in which they congratulated the Palestinian people on the ceasefire agreement, and praised them for their steadfastness in the face of the Zionist war machine and the thwart of the plan to displace from their land.
