Mexico: Activists call on Mexican president to help deported migrants
Mexico - January 24, 2025 Migrant rights activists gathered Thursday on the Santa Fe bridge between Ciudad Juarez and El Paso to call on Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum to provide aid to deported migrants. Many migrants, mainly Mexicans, lack money and shelter after being returned from the United States. Carlos Mayorga, leader of Angels Messengers, called for work permits and support for migrants stranded in Mexico due to the cancellation of US CBP One appointment.
