Experiencing a crash landing in Rome
This video was captured by passenger Michael Puscar on Sunday night as he assumed the brace position on board an Alitalia flight. The landing gear of the Airbus A320 had failed and the captain was forced to make an emergency landing at Rome's Fiumicino airport. You can clearly hear the Captain say "Brace for impact" followed by the sounds of the plane skidding on the ground and then toppling onto one wing. You can also clearly make out the screams of some of the 151 passengers. As the aircraft comes to a stop the passengers break out in spontaneous applause.
