The Brooklyn Nets, an NBA team from New York City, played its annual Chinese New Year game on Monday night against the Sacramento Kings.
The event logo features a snake that reflects 2025's Chinese zodiac sign.
Nets players wore custom Chinese New Year shooting shirts during warmups.
Chinese Ambassador to the United States Xie Feng and Brooklyn Nets owner Joseph Tsai exchanged gifts and watched the game together.
Guo Yazhi, a renowned suona player at the Bard College Conservatory of Music, joined his student Chen Xiaowen in a performance that showcased their mastery of the Chinese musical instrument.
Dancers in traditional Chinese costumes performed with handheld folding fans.
Every basketball fan in attendance found a red envelope giveaway wishing good fortune for the new year. Everyone also had a chance to taste Chinese foods and snacks on the main and upper concourses.
Fans could also buy from a custom merchandise line featuring a crewneck sweatshirt and a T-shirt.
Mari Bizzle, a high school student from Brooklyn, expressed his appreciation of Chinese culture and shared his experience of tasting the delicious Chinese cuisine.

Monday's game ended with the Sacramento Kings beating the Brooklyn Nets by 110 to 96.
