Thousands of protesters marched into the streets, calling for the impeachment of Philippines Vice President Sara Duterte - daughter of notorious drugs war madman Rodrigo.

Footage shows the crowd holding placards saying 'Impeach Sara' in bold letters while chanting in Manila, the Philippines on January 31.

The group said they are urging the House of Representatives to act on impeachment complaints filed last year, which have yet to be addressed.

Akbayan Partylist Representative Perci Cendana, who joined the demonstration, said: 'January is about to end, and Congress still has not taken any action on the impeachment complaints. Is Congress going to let Sara and her lame excuses intimidate them?'

Sara Duterte, Vice President of the Philippines, is facing impeachment complaints over allegations of abuse of power, misconduct, and involvement in questionable government transactions.
