On January 21, 2025, in Los Angeles, California, USA, @angryallen1 shared a video of a firestorm a few miles up from the Getty Center. While driving, the author captured footage of a fire rapidly spreading on a hill. The Sepulveda Fire broke out late in the Sepulveda Basin, prompting evacuation warnings in the area.
Firefighters quickly responded and successfully stopped the fire’s progress, although it burned 40 acres in Brentwood. As of press time, the fire was 60% contained. Approximately 250 LAFD firefighters utilized both aerial and ground attacks to control the hillside flames despite light winds.
