Uvalde, United States - February 12, 2025 On February 12, 2025, U.S. Soldiers from the Georgia National Guard joined forces with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to support the southern border mission in Uvalde, Texas. The deployment, part of a broader effort led by U.S. Northern Command and the Department of Homeland Security, aims to bolster security along the U.S.-Mexico border. This initial deployment of over 1,600 active-duty personnel brings the total number of military forces along the border to around 4,000 personnel under Title 10 authority.
