US, Phoenix: Phoenix 19th Avenue First Alarm Storage Facility Fire

Phoenix, United States - February 26, 2025 02/26/2025 01:30 am (GMT-0700) PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix Fire crews responded to reports of a commercial structure fire near 19th Avenue and Mohawk Lane around 1:30 a.m. Crews arrived to find an obvious working fire inside a single-story climate-controlled storage facility. Fire command quickly upgraded the assignment to a first alarm incident, drawing several units from Phoenix and Glendale Fire to the scene. Once inside the property, crews found several storage units involved in heavy flames. Firefighters worked diligently for over an hour to control the blaze. Fire investigators were dispatched to the scene. Phoenix Police established a hard closure for 19th Avenue, stretching between Mohawk Lane and the Loop 101 Freeway. Fire department personnel are expected to remain on the scene throughout the morning, extinguishing hotspots.
