Young box stuck in hollowed-out tree trunk rescued as dad hacks at it with axe
This is the bizarre moment a young boy became stuck in a hollowed-out tree trunk as his dad rescued him, hacking at it with an axe.
The child was reportedly playing hide and seek with his neighbour friends when he crawled inside a carved-out log in Guizhou Province, China, on February 16.
However, as he found his unusual hiding place, he became trapped and could not escape, forcing his parents to chop into the trunk to save him.
Footage shows his father chopping the wood with an axe to split it open. He eventually widened the trunk enough to allow his distressed son to escape.
His relatives can be heard laughing in the video clip, though he was scolded after the incident.
