In the video, the author captures the scene from his workplace as torrential rain from the remnants of Cyclone Alfred floods the streets. The storm battered a 400-kilometer stretch of coastline for five days, causing power outages for over 190,000 homes and businesses. Authorities issued flood and severe weather warnings, with emergency services rescuing 17 people from fast-moving waters overnight.
