This is the adorable moment four lemurs were spotted mimicking the classic Spider-Man meme by pointing at each other.

Footage shows the ring-tailed lemurs sitting on the ground with their arms extended inside their enclosure at Asahiyama Zoo in Hokkaido, Japan, on March 14.

Upon noticing zoo visitors, some stood up and briefly stared at them, while others continued sitting on the floor.

This behaviour, known as 'sunbathing' or 'sun-worshipping,' helps lemurs warm up after a cold night.

Native to Madagascar, where temperatures drop at night, lemurs rely on the sun to regulate their body temperature. Their bellies have less fur, so exposing them to sunlight efficiently absorbs heat and keeps them warm.

The classic Spider-Man meme refers to an image from the 1967 Spider-Man cartoon where two or more Spider-Men point at each other in confusion, often used online to depict situations of mistaken identity, similarity, or irony.
