SEVERE THUNDERSTORM Approaching - Shot with QuadCopter and GoPro
On May 11, 2016, a severe thunderstorm was approaching. The storm was part of a front moving through central Indiana. The midwest states and Indiana are known for severe spring thunderstorms that bring with them other things such as tornadoes, hail, and strong winds. This storm was approaching from the west, moving west to east. It was happening right at dusk. Near the end of the clip you can see a well formed super cell storm cloud. Lots of lightening in this storm. This clip was used by local news stations to highlight the local severe storm. Actual location of video is Fishers, Indiana near Indianapolis. I used a GoPro Hero camera that was attached to my Dji Phantom2 Quadcopter. Post processing completed in Final Cut Pro X.
